In late 2001, after achieving success in their respective careers, Kevin McKenna and Robert Burke, the founders of R.B. Mac Construction Co., Inc., realized the need to establish their own construction business to further thrive in the industry. With a combined 46 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction, they envisioned creating a company centered on exceptional customer service without compromising quality.

On April 1st, 2002, R.B. Mac Construction Co. Inc. was born with Kevin and Bob as partners. Initially modest, the company generated $215,000.00 in sales during its inaugural year. Through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence, sales soared to $1.6 million dollars in 2003. The years following, from 2006 to 2013, resulted in an average annual sales of $6.5 million dollars.

Over time, R.B. Mac Construction expanded from its two founders to include ten skilled Project Management and Supervisory personnel, boasting a total experience of over 120 years. The company has established a reputable presence in the Greater Western New York and Rochester areas as a respected competitor and a top-notch general contractor. R.B. Mac Construction's commitment to excellence was recognized with the 2006 APWA Project of the Year Award in the Structural Category for the NCCC Health Education Center Project.

Over the years, Kevin's strategic decisions and leadership in the company led to his eventual acquisition of his partner's stake in the business.

In a pivotal moment in 2021, Lacey McKenna, Kevin's daughter, demonstrated her commitment and vision for the future of R.B. Mac Construction by acquiring the majority of shares in the company. As the aspiring business leader, Lacey is poised to steer the company towards continued success and growth.
